The Historical CARAVANSERAI (Scaled for 25mm - 28mm)
Wikipedia defines caravanserai as a "roadside inn" where travelers rest, replenish supplies and recover from their journey. These structures were typical along the Silk Road. It was considered an important network point where commerce, information and people intermingle during the trade. The buildings are "a square or rectangular walled exterior, with a single portal wide enough to permit large or heavily laden beasts. The courtyard was almost always open to the sky, and inside walls of the enclosure were outfitted with a number of identical stalls, bays, niches or chambers to accommodate merchants and their servants, animals and merchandise."
The pictures of this replica was built by Ray Gonzalez as a prototype. This caravanserai has a 2nd floor including a watch tower. The material is assembled with MDF.
